Within the framework of the 29th Congress of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) held in Zilina, Slovakia, the Slovakian Centre of Photography held the 29th International Black and White Photo Contest under the sponsorship of FIAP. The work “Harvest Calls” by Chinh Huu. “Adornment” by Le Quang Phu. “Children Songs” by Ngo Huy Tinh. “Enjoying Together” by Vuong Quoc Kim. “Dependence” by Tran Phong. “Reflecting Eyes” by Hoang Quoc Tuan. “Vitality” by Bao Hung. “Early Morning” by NgocThai. “Elephant Race” by Tam Thai. “ Highland Children” by Nguyen Long. The organization board received 46 black and white photo sets (each consisting of 10 photos and each photographer having only one photo at the contest) from 46 member countries of FIAP.  The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) sent a photo collection entitled “Traditional Culture of the Ethnic Minority Groups in the Central Highlands” that won a FIAP Cup with a total score of 219. The exhibition will be held during the Congress and last to September 26, 2008 in Zilina. - China won a FIAP gold medal with the score of 203 -  Luxembourg captured a FIAP silver medal with a score of 198 - Oman won a FIAP bronze medal with a score of 197. - Serbia, Australia, San Marino, France, Belgium and Italy were awarded     FIAP honourable mentions.
