A Vietnamese writer awarded with the British literary prize

Vietnamese Australian writer Nam Le was awarded the Dylan Thomas Prize, worth 60,000 USD for his short story “The Boat”. It is the largest literary prize offered by Great Britain for a writer under the age of 30. The Dylan Thomas Prize is held every two years by the University of Wales to honour young writers having excellent works in English. Writer Nam Le was born in Vietnam and grew up in Melbourne (Australia).
