During a meeting
with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on September 9, 2008 in Ho Chi Minh City, Prince Andrew, Britain’s Duke of York said that
Vietnam was one of the most
successful countries in socio-economic development policies and using
effectively the Official Development Assistance (ODA).
Prime Minister
Nguyen Tan Dung welcomed the precise and goodwill assessment of Prince Andrew,
who is special representative for British trade and international investment, on
the cooperative ties “Partner for Development” between the two
countries.
He was delighted
the Prince had focussed on the top priorities of the two countries’ governments,
including trade-investment and education-training, making contributions to the
development of long-term, stable and multi-faceted relations between the two
countries. He believed that the success of this visit would greatly contribute
to the development of bilateral relations in the future.
