Tra Co Festival: July 2-8 (Lunar May 29 - June 6)

Time: July 2-8 (Lunar May 29 - June 6)         

Place: Tra Co Village, Mong Cai Town, Quang Ninh Province

Feature: The festival is held in seven days with the procession from Tra Co to Do Son then back to Tra Co. On Lunar June 1, there is a procession of king to the temple with the participation of teams holding weapons, flags, etc. After the procession, the villagers hold an agricultural product contest. During the festival, many traditional rites and distinctive cultural activities, such as cooking contest, bong dancing, are held. Also, they hold a ceremony to pray for a bumper crop and happy life.
