Feature: The
festival is dedicated to Ong Voi fish, who protects fishermen during their trips
to sea. On lunar June 15, villagers usually prepare altars and offerings, burn
incenses and pray. At 1.a.m on lunar June 16, they make a feast, bring it to sea
as offering to Ong Voi fish. According to locals, during the festival, Ong Voi
fish often appears, spouting water in high pillars into the sky as a good omen
of bumper crop and happy life.
